Carole's Vision:

My counseling approach differs from traditional talk therapy. I do not talk at clients or remain silent. I interact with my clients in a direct and respectful manner. My vision as a psychotherapist is to assist my clients in discovering what they really want from their lives, how to develop tools to achieve their goals, and the courage to live with them.

Carole Oliver, M.Ed, T.E.P., LPC, Founder and Director of The Center for Action Psychotherapy and Coaching, is a psychotherapist who provides individual and group counseling.

Ms. Oliver is a published author. Her recent chapter appears in in the book A Day in the Life of a Counselor.

She has 25 years of counseling, coaching, group psychotherapy and psychodrama experience. She is board certified by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy. As a Fellow of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama, Ms. Oliver has presented at their national conference for the last 27 years.

Ms. Oliver is a licensed professional counselor and a trainer, educator and practitioner in group psychotherapy and psychodrama (TEP). She is also a Life Coach. She’s an adjunct professor at Montclair State University’s Graduate School of Counseling and Education, The Caron Foundation, The NJ Taskforce for Women and Alcoholism, NY Drug and Alcohol Council, NYU, Johnson and Johnson, Marble Collegiate Church and the Montclair Police Dept.
